How to Create Wealth Using Gratitude
Think of money, wealth and prosperity the same way you think of food, health and vitality. It’s a relationship.
Seldom does good health just happen. It needs your input, your attention and your care to be sustained.
Just as there are many different definitions of what a healthy body is, there are also many different definitions of what a wealthy lifestyle is.
For example, being healthy for one person might mean being a vegan, practicing yoga seven times a week and drinking 12 glasses of water a day.
For someone else, a healthy lifestyle might mean eating a balanced and varied diet, going for a walk on the weekend and getting seven hours of sleep at night.
The important thing is to decide what your definition is and then take actions to support that.
What is your definition of wealth?
For me wealth (like success) includes several layers: feelings of ease and peace around money, time, connection and freedom.
I use gratitude as a tool for creating wealth by looking at all the ways I already have ease and peace around money, time, connection and freedom. If I look around in all the nooks and crannies of my life, I will find many ways ease and peace show up for me on a daily basis. From turning on a tap of clean drinking water first thing in the morning to sleeping in a warm bed at night, my life is full of ease and peace.
What you focus on expands.
When I focus on the many blessings of ease and peace in my life, I feel grateful. As I feel more and more gratitude for all the different forms of ease and peace, ease and peace show up in more and more ways. I’m cultivating my relationship with ease and peace. I’m acknowledging it, caring for it and appreciating it.
If you see a coin on the ground do you smile at it, pick it up and acknowledge the little gift from Life? Or do you scoff at it, see it as low-value and kick it out of the way?
All day long we’re sending energetic messages out to Life about what we value, love and would like more of. Gratitude is the direct line to sending that message.Click To TweetWhen you focus on the essence of what wealth means to you, Life will find ways (including but not limited to money) to deliver that to you. But if you cannot appreciate what you already have, you will block the channel to receive any more.
What is your definition of wealth? Where do you already see evidence of that in your life, even in small ways? How can you use gratitude to grow and nurture that in your life?
